GemSperse TX is the name assigned to our new series for the coloration of wood. These products are available in TX-A (aqueous), TX-AI (aqueous inorganic) and TX-S (solvent-based) formulations.
The GemSperse TX series has been designed to encompass a variety of end applications, including wood stains (both painted and dipping applications) and mass coloration of materials such as MDF and chipboard. These materials may be used to protect, decorate and enhance natural grain effects when incorporated into traditional wood preserving formulations.
For UV protection we supply Iron Oxide based materials, both in their opaque and transparent forms, along with a range of carbon black dispersions. These materials combine well together to produce a wide range of typical 'Natural Wood Shades'. The majority of these shades are available in both inorganic and organic equivalents, depending on application requirements. Additionally, each shade can be offered in either GemSperse TX-A (aqueous) or GemSperse TX-S (solvent-based) formulations.
Where a brighter appearance is required, we offer a range of dispersions based on organic pigments specially selected to impart all desirable properties of colour and requisite fastness levels at an economic price.
As an alternative to Natural Wood Shades, we also offer a number of 'Garden Shades', comprising a selection of both organic and inorganic pigments. In addition, Gemini can supply 'One Shot' mixtures designed to yield direct colour matching to specific types of wood when added to the customer's particular system.
